I feel something like a midwife  must feel at this point.

An exciting new job as the Multifaith Co-ordinator for Jubilee Debt Campaign is being advertised this week. The job based in Birmingham will develop lots of projects and ideas that I  and others have been nuturing and developing over the last few years.

The birth of a new stage in campaigning for the city, region and if we get new funding the whole of the UK. it is so good to see member of different faith traditions tackling Global Poverty and seeking justice together.

MULTIFAITH CO-ORDINATOR

  • 2 days per week, for an initial nine month contract
  • based in Birmingham
  • Salary £770 per month
  • Deadline for applications: 5pm, 27 May 2010
  • Interviews in Birmingham: 7 June 2010

This new post will take forward the JDC Multifaith Project to build awareness and encourage action on global poverty, with a particular focus on the issue of poor country debt, by and through national faith groups and interfaith groups, encouraging them to produce resources, reach their own grassroots and speak out at a national and local level. There will be a particular focus on developing work initially in the Birmingham area.
