Jubolympics Event
to Launch the JDC 2012 Jubilee Petition to 10 Downing Street
Wednesday June 6 12.30 – 2pm
Celebrate the Jubilee and spread the JDC message with some crazy olympic fun
and games. JDC members are asked to come to take part in a spoof Jubolympics on the green around St Philip’s Cathedral, Colmore Row, Birmingham on Wednesday June 6th. Races will be between people in fancy dress representing rich and poor countries – the poor countries held back by the burden of debt, unfair taxation and corruption.
We will also be trying to get signatures on the JDC Jubilee petition as described below.If you can help by taking part in the sketches which are easy and safe please come to the front door of the Cathedral at 11.30am for a briefing. The Jubolympics will start at 12.30pm and finish by 2pm.

Monday June 18 10am – 12 noon at Salma’s house, 68 Billesley Lane, B13 9QU. A meeting to plan campaigning using the JDC Jubilee Action Pack and petition which should be available by then.

JDC Birmingham Summer Garden Party  Sunday July 15 2 – 5pm at Ruth and Richard’s house, 26 Sovereign Way, Moseley, B13 8AT.
To include a table top sale to raise funds for our group. Lots of helpers and publicity required. Please invite people who are not already linked to JDC. Gifts of bric a brac, plants and books etc are most welcome.

Saturday August 18th 3pm – 5pm at Hay Green Methodist Church Hall, Cobb Lane, Bournville B30 1QD.
John Nightingale invites you to join with him in celebrating his own personal 70th Jubilee, with tea.
Robin Attfield, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cardiff and writer on the ethics of the environment will give a short talk on: “The world we would like to see”. (No presents please but donations welcome to Jubilee Debt Campaign – which is a charity.)

Coffee Morning and Bring & Buy Friday 24 August 10am – 12 noon at Selly Oak Methodist Church, Langleys Road, Selly Oak B29 6HT in aid of JDC.
